Sadia has 20 years’ experience as a professional economist working at some of the UK’s top-ranked economic consultancies. Sadia has worked extensively with clients from the public sector, financial services, retail, construction, utilities, spatial planning and residential real estate across the UK and Europe, advising them in periods of significant economic uncertainty, such as during the 2008 financial crisis, Brexit and the Covid pandemic.
Sadia specialises in analysis of the UK macroeconomy, its sectors and local area performance, with a particular interest in housing market trends. She is highly experienced in working with large, detailed datasets and in applying advanced econometric techniques, statistical analytics and data visualisation techniques to derive insight, forecast economic trends and establish an evidence base for decision-making.
Sadia is also independent Economic Associate with ProBono Economics where she works with a diverse range of charities, analysing their data to help them understand and demonstrate their impact. In particular, she works with charities seeking to help disadvantaged groups improve their labour market participation. Alongside this, she also consults for a number of organisations as a regular contributor and on one-off bespoke research projects related to the labour and housing markets.
Sadia holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of Oxford.
