City of London Corporation
In 2022, the City of London Corporation commissioned Work Advance to undertake a rapid evidence assessment to inform the work of the Skills for a Sustainable Skyline (SSS) Taskforce – a new, industry-led initiative that aims to attract and reskill Londoners to ensure a skilled workforce needed to decarbonise the built environment in the Square Mile and wider Central London area.
The research set out known skill issues; gaps in the evidence base; and opportunities for the SSS Taskforce to advance new research and activities that respond to these priorities. The work was delivered to the SSS Taskforce Strategic Board, helping to shape its future programme of work over the next three years, including new initiatives to inspire upskilling and attract and retain diverse talent in the industry.
